8/I/17 - 33cl bottle from the brewery @ home - BB: 1/XII/16 (sorry, Andy!) (2017-37) Thanks to John for picking this up for me!

Clear dark brown beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: malty, caramel, some dark chocolate. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bit malty, some caramel, little sweet, bitter hops, pretty roasted. Aftertaste: more bitter hops, malty, some caramel, dry, harsh roast, charcoal, little sweet, chocolate on warming up. Fine beer!

No head left, red-brown dark beer; Spicy nose, herbal, and not very porter-like. Watery, roasted flavour, and not much else. Peanuts (litteraly, that). Light and watery feel and body. This isn’t a Porter, Baltic or other, IMHO, but more a brown ale.

Dunkel orange braunes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach dunklem Malz, Karamell, Schokolade, leicht fruchtig. Geschmack nach roten Früchten, Karamell, dunkles Malz.

330 ml. bottle @ Gollem. Black with small but very solid deep mocha head; Nose is sweet mocha ice cream, light umami note, big sweetness, dark berries, sugar & candy. Taste is sweet caramel, toffee, butterscotch & heavy sweet creamy mocha, indeed reminiscent of some of the better Baltic Porters that I have had, thicker (but I don’t think that this is bottom fermented), dark berries. Mocha ice cream body. Faint metallic note overall; Bigger on sweetness, very nice & enjoyable beer. Great work.

First rating, what an honor ! Bottle from Gollem. Pours clear, dark brown. Smell is dark malts, bit chocolatty. Taste is exceptionally roasty, I guess many dark malts have been bathing in Andy’s kettle ! Chocolaty, intense in general. Notes of caramel, and a bit sweet.
