Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pffafenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Tuesday 13th September 2022 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music, cooking Chilli Con Carne.A very decent looking beer, almost black with a cappuccino coloured head. Aroma is light coffee notes. Body is understandably a little thin but nonetheless tastes like a coffee porter, a little sweeteness but there is a tang. Quite good, however Loz *who tried it blind, described it thus, 'thin, watery and with an unpleasant aftertaste'

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque black with a creamy, beige and lacing head. Totally dominant coffee in the nose. Medium body, toast, roast and coffee in just the right balance with a slight sweetness. Subdued bitterness. Almost has the feel of a proper beer. 090322

Nittenauer Lola Porter. Black, smaller and nonlasting beige head. Moderate coffee nose, roasted. Medium roasted start, some milder bitterness, a bit roasted in the finish. Light body, a bit watery at times. Not too bad.

Dark brown with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma has coffee ground overtones with fudge and a lot of prunes underneath. A decent start. Taste has a mild roasted bitterness up front, turns immediately sweeter though before trailing off into a watery and inconsequential finish. Lingering hints of coffee and prunes afterwards. Body to the light side of medium, texture watery. Flawed but still quite drinkable.
