In the 17th century, a knight loses an arm in battle and returns to Lisbon to forge a new one... made of silver. "Braço de Prata" (Silver Arm) the are where this beer is made, owes its name to him. These are the ingredients for an engaging story and a great Pilsner. Prata is out tribute to the industrious knight with the silver arm.

Re-rating (previous 3.3 - 2.8). Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 3A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L07122020 (BBF 09.2021). AROMA: initial medium-low cereal hull note (hay-like) that fades. medium-low background of malt (cracker-like and faint honey). low diacetyl. no hops. APPEARANCE: light gold color and clear. medium white head, creamy, with medium-low retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with meidum-low background of grainy malt (cracker-like and low honey). medium bitterness with a dry finish. no hops detected. PALATE: medium-light body with medium to medium-high carbonation. OVERALL: an ok pilsner-type beer.
