Cloudy amber with floaties. Sweet fruity aroma with roasted malt, caramel and ripe fruits. Flavour had ripe fruits, caramel and toasted malt. Finished sweet.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a warm amber with some floaties and a creamy and lacing off-white head. Spicy aroma with some dark fruits. Solid body, spicy, fruity - dark fruits - with Belgian yeast and a little phenols. Some warming alcohol in the finish with a slight bitterness. 270310

Bottle ZBF: Poured a brown with a light brown head. Aroma is spicy. Taste is spicy with liquorish.

At Zythos Beer Festival 2010. Copper colored, large head. Aroma of pumpernickel and rye. Taste has plenty of malt, some caramel, and caraway seeds. Interesting and drinkable.

Medium yellow head over clear deep-amber beer. Winey, winedrops, dark malts & fruity aromas. Vinous, bit of molasses, sweet but dark malts, just not syrupy. Bit of fruity drop . Alcohol in the throat, medium to well-bodied. Aftertaste has a surprising cola-like flavour. Definitely one I’d like to drink again.

Bottle 75cl @ 15e Kerstbierfestival 2009, Essen, Belgium.Unclear medium amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, nutty notes, moderate yeasty, spicy, apple notes. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091212]

75 cL bottle, Kerstbier Festival 2009. Pours dark brown with a light amber glare and a light tan yet huge head. Roasted, phenolic and spiced aroma. Sweet malty, caramelish and slight spiced flavoured. Vague phenolic from back of the nose. Dry phenolic and slight spiced into the finish.
