Die malzigen Noten sind deutlich hinter der bitteren Herbe. Eher mild, dabei aber trocken, rund. Gelungen. 10/8/7/7//7

Bottle at home in London - picked up from Kris Wines. Pours clear, reddish brown with a frothy khaki head that quickly settles down. The aroma holds ripening berries, mellow lightly toasted bready malts, orange peel. Light sweet flavor with some berry skins, burnt leaves, wood, earth, slight fruity tang. Light bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Finishes with more ripe, lightly dried and tangy berries, some woody dryness, toasted bread, grain. A bit ho hum overall.

Keg at BD CJ. It pours near opaque dark brown with a small beige head. The nose is smooth, toasty, cocoa, earth, filter coffee and a touch of toasty brown sugar. The taste is smooth, toasty, earthy roast, coffee, light spice, light citrus pith, toasty grass and a touch of cocoa sweetness with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Smooth, toasty and pretty easy going. Straight-forward easy drinking malty number.
