Can from Systembolaget. Always if you call a beer such a name you're going to have high expectations. It did not really deliver on that front and came across all a bit thin, even if it was reasonably hopped enough.

First tasting: 500 ml bottle, batch #700, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Distinct aroma of fruity and floral hops, some pine too, but less than I expected. Extremely hoppy and bitter flavour (160 IBU), a considerable malty and marmalade-like sweetness too, but the very piney, resinous, minty and peppery hops are what it is really all about. A bit unrefined, and nearly too bitter for me. Yes. I’m a sissy.

2025 vintage: On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. I am not sure this vintage warrants a separate entry, the flavour and aroma appear much like previous vintages. Which means distinctly hoppy, and good.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange, medium white head. Aromas of banana, citrus, yeast, sweet malt. Taste is citrussy, hops, orange, sweet esters, hops. Pretty weird IPA.

Bottle from tax free shop shared. Clear darker golden with almost white head. Flowery, sweet toffee malts, soft orange, dank weedy hops, lime peel, light leaves. Something dank and spicy, like fruity rye. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied.

(Bottle) Hazy pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, hoppy nose with grapefruit, passion-fruit, pineapple, peaches, honey, grainy malt and pine needles. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of tropical fruit, passion-fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, peaches, cereal, honey, pine needles and a generous citric, piney bitterness. More than medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well made, fairly dry, with a generous hop presence. Very nice.

Bottle from Oslo Airport. Creamy orange pour with some thick foam on the top. Nose is sweet, thick with malt and feels heavy. Herbal somewhat. Tastes thick, malty and full of hop marmalade. Nice slick mouthfeel - but overall too sweet and heavy for me to really like this. OK.
