Thank you JefVerstraete! 2012 Vintage. Tasting glass from 650 ml. bottle consumed @ “The Tasting formerly known as Mons RBBAG I (2014)”. Reddish brown, little tanned head. Nose is too boozy with lots of varnish oak. Taste is thick sweet sugar, exotic sugar with lots of plastic, thick varnish, boozy, marzipan, lots of alcohol, heavy on varnish, amarena cherries,… Little carbonation, sugar body. This doesn’t feel right. It drinks still but why all the varnish etc.

Bottle@Craft Clerkenwell (RBESG 10/08/2014) - amber coloured pour with off-white head. Medium sweet malty aroma and taste, caramel, toffee, some dried fruit (sultana) some nice spice in there as well. Decent.

RBESG pt 19. Craft Clerkenwell. Grandish Tasting. Hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry with mild fine carbonation. Lovely dark toffee and well integrated bourbon. Touch of spice. Dried fruits and a little barrel vanilla. Light dry finish. Spicy linger. Very tasty.

Bottle during RBESG 2014. It pours deep red-brown with a decent yellow-white head. The nose is sweet, fruit cake, gingerbread, vanilla, toasted coconut, bourbon, raisin and toffee. The taste is bitter, hot, varnish, big wood, vanilla , spicy heat, oak, leather with a dry, hot finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Oily. Hot, woody...

Bottle - Vintage 2012 - Light toffee, milk chocolate and light barrel notes. Deep clear amber with a yellowish head. Toffee, burnt sugars, barrel and some booze. Not bad, maybe better with even more age.

Bottle thanks to Matt! Pours a near clear deep orangish amber with a brown hue and a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of vanilla and bourbon with a backing earthiness and sweet grains. Flavor is full of caramel with some toffee that kind of over power the bourbon at first but it does come through in the finish.
