Can from Drinkmonger (2024) and Lupe Pintos (2026). Black body with ruby highlights and a thick beige head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of charred wood, cocoa, dark chocolate and biscuit. Flavour of chocolate and vanilla with a bitter finish. Medium to full body with creamy mouthfeel. Gentle fizz. This is very tasty. I’d like to try a blind side-by-side tasting with Guinness as I think this would come out on top.

Near black with a tall, foamy tan head. Roasted malts, coffee, bittersweet cocoa, light earth, a touch of burnt malts. Medium bodied and a touch chalky. Finish has a dry and sharp snap. Very nice.

Deep brown/black with a good finger of creamy, tan head. Roasted malts, coffee, milk chocolate, toffee, sweet malts. Full, smooth body. Feels a bit sweeter with dark sugars throughout. A good one.

Can from Mr. Hop, drunk after mediocre sushi in Unterhaching at a new place. Everyone in the family smells like a fryolator, especially those with long hair. This beer makes me forget that weird experience. Beautiful hop widget pour, perfect firm nitro head. Roasted grain and fresh malt, hops on the nose. Smooth roasted flavor, mild dark-maltiness but mostly dry. Great balance with earthy hop notes and a bit of acidity. Very tasty stout!

Optisch nahezu tiefschwarz und klar mit rotbraunen Reflexen. Durch die Stickstoffkapsel ergibt sich eine unfassbar feine Perlage, welche letztendlich eine sehr cremige, stabile und langlebige, hellbraune Schaumkrone zur Folge hat. Der stiltypische Duft erreicht die Nase mit wunderbarer Röstmalzaromatik von sehr dunkler Schokolade, Mokka, aber auch deutlichen Rauchnoten. Der Antrunk kommt frisch, sehr fein und weichrezent, kräftig röstig, schokoladig, kaffeeartig bis rauchig und sehr zart herb. Im Mund zeigt sich ein leichter, aber kräftig röstiger Körper mit sehr zarter und feiner Rezenz, leichter bis zart seidiger Textur und leichter Trockenheit. Geschmacklich und aromatisch setzen sich die ersten Eindrücke fort... extrem dunkle bis zart herbe Schokonoten, Mokka und eine angenehme Rauchigkeit in der Röstmalzaromatik. Ohne je einen Hauch von Süße aufkommen zu lassen und ohne dass es auffällt, gehen diese röstig-herben Malznoten in eine leicht trocken-herbe Hopfenaromatik über. Eine zarte Röstsäure prickelt dabei sehr sanft auf der Zunge. Aromatisch grundsätzlich überschaubar, aber intensiv röstig bis rauchig mit allen Facetten die Röstmalz bieten kann. Dazu trocken und leicht herb ausgelegt. Sehr stiltypisch, harmonisch und durchaus elegant. Diese Eigenschaften, gepaart mit der sehr feinen Karbonisierung schaffen eine unglaublich hohe Drinkability und es macht eine große Freude, dieses Bier zu trinken. Im Nachtrunk wirken die röstig-rauchigen Malznoten sehr gut und lange nach und gehen sehr langsam in eine röstige Herbe über, die scheinbar unendlich lange stehen bleibt.
Fazit: Ob Guinness oder O'Hara's... das sind wahrscheinlich die Benchmarks was Irish Stout betrifft. Es mag vermutlich das eine oder andere Stout geben, welches den größeren Wow-Effekt auslöst, aber man muss schon festhalten, dass Biere wie dieses schon den Stil auf den Punkt treffen und in ihrer gesamten Erscheinung schon so gut wie perfekt sind. Alleine wenn ich mir am Ende das Glas anschaue... ein immer noch haftender Schaumteppich am Glasrand und am Boden bleibt 1 cm cremiger, an Rasierschaum erinnernder, Schaum über... perfekt!

Ciemnobrunatne nieprzezroczyste piwo z niezłą pianą. Aromat delikatny kawa plus czekolada deserowa. W smaku mix kawy i czekolady. Typowy sesyjny stout

Barwa niemal czarna, piana beżowa, dość obfita, dość trwała.
W aromacie kawa, paloność.
W smaku lekko kwaskowe, palone, kawowe ze sporą kontrą chmielową.
Goryczka średniowysoka, wysycenie niskie do średniego, ciało w normie, piwo jest konkretne, palone, pijalne, dobrze zbalansowane.
Dry stout z prawdziwego zdarzenia. Świetne piwo.

Draft. Sort of like a guiness but a little bit sweeter and with less body. Not bad, not awesome, not bad, not awesome - or so we say...

330ml can. Pours black with a very fine, nitro like, deep tan head. Aroma is dark malts & coffee. Beer is dry but smooth with similar dark malt & coffee flavours. Very easy to drink, hint of hop bitterness but way less than Guinness. Good texture and mouthfeel for a low ABV stout.
Really rather good.
