At a tasting, thanks, small creamy bubbly mocha head, dark brown color, aroma of coffee, dark bread and something green, coffee flavor with charred notes, hoppy bitterness, some alcohol coming through in time, chocolate and mud aftertaste. Nice and interesting.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks zvsn. Black with a creamy tan head. Aroma of roast, coffee, some dark chocolate, and a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor, roasty, with coffee, some cocoa, some salty licorice, some bitterness, and an alcoholic note. Medium to full-bodied. A bit of warming alcohol in the throat. Nice.

33 cl bottle @ home, bottled 03/2015
Lots of foam when pouring. Aroma has coffee, licorice, licorice root, ash and sweet roasted malt. Flavour has ash, rubbery tones, herbs and harsh bitterness in the finish. Also salty licorice. Aroma was promising but flavour is bitter in a harsh way.

250 ml. draft @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontenais. Blackish, vanishing mocha bubbles. Nose is big thick mocha roast, surprisingly hoppy with pine resin hops, pleasant with chocolate truffle sweetness in the back. Taste is big roast, bitter pine upfront, leading to sweet hazelnut, chocolate truffle, sweet coffee with sugar, touch herbal, roasted,… Interesting hoppy stout with a nice amount of sweetness to balance out things. Carbonation is low, making it seem a bit watery. Nice beer all the same, quite pleasant.
