One of our ‘terroir’ beers, brewed with Gentian roots, traditionally used for a local liqueur, added at the very end of the boil. The aromas are peppery, earthy and floral. The mouthfeel is firstly of honey flavors then earthy, peppery and yellow fruits. The finish is delicate and long lasting.

Semmi hab, bronzba hajló narancs szín. Fűszeres, gyógynövényes illat. Fűszeres, gyógynövényes, gabonás ízvilág. Közepesen testes, alig szénsavas, szinte egyáltalán nem keserű. Kellemesen, visszafogottan fűszerezett sör.

750 bottle @home. Dorata chiara torbida, schiuma bianca media, molto persistente. Al naso sentori speziati e floreali, biancospino, genziana, menta, pepe. In bocca è dolce all’attacco con finale appena amaro erbaceo, pepato. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Buona!

Bottle, Reggina del Formaggio, Split, shared with heavy. Murky amber body with almost no head. Light aroma, marmalade basically, light herbal touch, soft, quite Belgian. The taste goes along the same lines. Slightly thin, it carries lovely citric (orange), vaguely flowery notes and classic Belgian Blonde notes with a vague herbal touch. Very vague. Not sure what gentian brings exactly and how big an effect it has on the taste, but this is one of the best Borgos I’ve tried, a pleasant, tasty, well balanced beer, just not flashy.

Tap @Open Baladin, Roma. Cloudy golden, small offwhite head. Very malty, slightly grainy aroma. A touch of orange perhaps. Flavour has malt and orange. Nice and smooth but somewhat boring.

Keg at Brewdog Shepard’s bush. Murky brown grey coloured pout with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is odd, ginger, woody, herbal, bark, some spicy background fruits. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, hobey and maple, bark, caraway, liquorice. Interesting and fairly balanced. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation. Maybe a little flabby. I quite like it.

Taste comprises apricot, earthy streak, tangy citric peel, light floral, grain, straw, soft bread, trace of spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a little bitterness. Ok.
