The Black Swan, Copenhagen. Keg. With Colin and Reubs. Bottle. Mildly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and smooth, good fine carbonation. Mildly creamy sweet malts. Decent piney hops, skunk too and nice fresh orange. Semi dry crisp finish brings marmalade and hop spice. Decent.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy amber with an off-white head. Toffeeish aroma blending in with some citrusy hops. Rich, malty body, very caramellish, some lovely hops are clearly there but I’m afraid the beer is oldish and somewhat oxidized getting the caramel notes. Ends bitter. Would love to try this fresh. 170215

Bottle. An unclear, orange colored beer topped by a dense, two-finger sized off-white head leaving some lacings. Lots of peaches and citrus escapes the glass when pouring, and those two scents just keep on coming. Pine cones and some malts chime in, as does some melon hints. There’s a fine bitterness all the way, perhaps a tad too much sweetness, but at least it’s fruity and piney enough. Would like it even fresher, but I guess that’s my fault, as I forgot it in my cellar for some months. It’s a tad thin on the palate. Well, not thin, but it feels a bit watery. The carbonation level could be higher too. Lasting bitter and fruity finish. Hope I bump into a fresh bottle some time, will definitely have one or two then. 141230
