Bottle. Black pour, small brownish head. Nice aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Taste is quite rich, with notes of roast, coffee, dark chocolate and quite a hoppy finish with some citrus. Bit salty as well. Very good beer.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Thompson. Nice dark brown color with a red glow coming through. Average sized light brown head. Aroma is malts, coffee, roasted malts, dark cocoa, a hint of smoked malts, earthy. Taste malts, some roast, dark chocolate, cocoa, a touch of coffee, lightly earthy and again a light touch of smoke. Decent body and carbonation.

1/3 pint, 6.1 % abv, serving from keg, guest beer at BrewDog Shepherds Bush. Faint low fawn-coloured head. Opaque dark brown body. Spotty lacing. Rich smell of confectionery malts, nicely roasted. Blended flavour profile of brown and black malts, including coffee and cocoa. Backdrop of fruity hops to a malt-bitter ending. A pleasant, well-crafted porter (London 24.09.2014).

Bottle from The Beerhive. Black body with ruby highlights. Large tan head that holds well and leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma of leather, ground coffee beans, earth and leather. Flavour of tobacco, chocolate orange and filter coffee. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Light carbonation. It’s a bit on the thin side, but this is a very tasty Porter from a top brewery. This bottle was 6.1% ABV.

330ml bottle [6.1% abv]. Dark brown colour with red glimmer, average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Sweet-ish, nuttily malty aroma, some milk chocolate, nougat. Taste is dry nuttily, subtle malt sweetness, hints of chocolate, some hop bitterness. Intense, manifold nuttily flavours, hazelnut, peanut, etc., nut pellicle. Brown Ale resemblance.
