Can from the brewery. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is fresh, piney, resin, wood polish, light toffee. The taste is crisp, bitter, pine, resin, citrus peel, soap, pepper, varnish, toasty grain and some alcohol with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. A touch watery for my liking, but all in all not bad.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is woody nettle light resin hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth resin hop bitter palate and a short bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nice enough but not really my style of IPA I’m afraid. It’s a bit one dimensional.

Bottle from Good Taste Food and Drink, Crystal Palace, London - amber pour, small white head. Aroma and taste is toasty sweet malty, herbal more floral than hoppy, couldnt detect hardly any hops overall. Basic stuff.

Bottle from The Sourced Market, St Pancras International, London, Wednesday 26th March 2014 Pours dark amber with an off/white head a touch chewy with some burnt toffee. Indeed there is some hoppiness but its quite malty, really quite malty. Soft mouthfeel, I didn’t mind it but it really wasn’t an IPA in my eyes. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Sample from 33 cl. bottle. Clear, golden colour with an amber tint. Thin white head. Sweet, fruity aroma with a mouldy note, grasses and hay. Aroma a bit of a disappointment. Taste is bitter - far better than aroma. Medium body with a soft carbonation. Finishes bitter with fruits and caramel malts. Too restrained hops to be really good.

Keg at the Cock, 06/03/14. Lightly hazed amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is caramel malt, floral hops, bitter orange, toasty, light pine. Taste comprises passionfruit, light perfumed notes, caramel, orange pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so but still drinkable, possibly not as fresh as it could have been ? Will revisit at the brewery some time. Keg at the brewery, re-visited as promised, 01/11/14. Much improved compared to the offering I had at the Cock. Nice juicy citrics, decent hop presence, good balance and easy drinking IPA. Was 6-3-6-3-12. Now 6-4-7-4-14.
