Bottle @ home. Very hazy murky light brownish (!) color, medium sized off-white head that diminishes instantly. Smell and taste lightly malts, yeast, yeasty sweetness and an annoying underlying aroma and flavor that I can’t put my finger on, but it ain’t nice. A bit old hops buttery yeasty kind of flavor. No, don’t like it.

From tap. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is medium dry, phenolic and toasted malty. Sweet, toasted malty and light fruity. Sweet and toasted malty finish.

Another new micro brewery, from Willebroek this time, and again they lacked the inspiration to come up with something different than a tripel - a style I used to appreciate, but which is losing my faith year by year as there are simply too many of them around, and most of them are average at best. This one had a creamy, irregular, snow white, lacing head, which nevertheless dissipated quickly, and a misty golden blonde colour. Aroma of the usual things: rotten banana, grass, raw potato, honey, green apple, raw rhubard perhaps and a lot of wodka-like alcohol. Taste was sweetish, quite fruity with a sourish accent as expected, some green apple acetaldehyde; simple pale malt sweetishness in the middle, yeasty accents, finishing in a deep leafy and earthy, herbal hop bitterishness, with fortunately less of the wry alcohol than I had feared based upon the aroma. In all, a well-crafted tripel, presented very charmingly at ZBF, but completely redundant. I hope this brewery finds more inspiration soon.

Sampled bottled @ ZBF 2015. Hazy orange, little white head. Nose is sweet sugar, soap, very sweet, overly so,… Taste is very sweet soap in not a unnecessarily off-putting way, very sweet peach, lots of sugar, candy, spices,… Thick sweet sugar & spice body. People really seemed to hate this one but it just tastes like a whole bunch of sugar. Acceptable candy. (Thx! for sharing people!)
