Tap @ Borefts 2014. Iodine in the aroma. Malty sweetish flavor with iodine. Just a hint of butter and grassy hops, totally hidden behind the iodine. Exceptional. .

Bottle at home, 26th June 16. Amber, nice neat head. Aroma is citrus, pine, iodine, TCP, taste is TCP, bitter, peaty, some hops, overrun by iodine, it’s weird, but drinkable.

Keg at Borefts day1 26/09/2014. Bodegraven.Aroma is smoked phenols, TCP. A light hazed, golden coloured pour with a light white head. Flavour is malty, medicinal tcp, rauch malts, little caramel. Palate is medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Too much phenols.

From tap. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild smoked and crisp hoppy. Smoked, tarish and subdued fruity. Bitter and herbal dry finish.

Pours hazy, pale and foggy. Nose has huge smokiness, not much IPA’ness. Leather and shoe polish. Taste has some smoke, leather again, and a bit of fruits, maybe mango in the background. Smokiness all over. For me this beer is on the edge, if there would be more smokiness, it would ruin the beer for me, at this level I can still drink it and think it’s interesting.

Way too smokey and peaty that just destroys the hops in the nose. Smokey body, thin, negliable hops. Big smokey simple finish. Not mine, or many people’s thing.

Draught @ 6th Borefts Beer Festival 2014, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Mont Saleve Smoked IPA ].Clear medium orange color with a average to large, creamy - frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, smoke. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, sweet smoke, fruity, grass. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140926]

Borefts VI. Keg. Almost clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and dry and fairly crisp. Light malts, little floralness. Mild orange and grapefruit citrus. Medium white smoke. Dry finish. Fine.
