Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque reddish brown with a smallish, beige head. Interesting aroma of overripe or even rottening fruit. Rich body, a little low in carbonation, again overripe fruit and spices with a rustic, woody note. The schnaps comes out as a late, astringent burn. 220214

Bottle, at Sandar. It pours an almost clear body, brown in colour and witha dense light beige head. Some booze in the aroma, with caramel and some spiced hints. Some dried fruits and a phenolic touch. Warming and full bodied with a pleasant carbonation level. Caramel, nuts, roasted malts and some spice hint in the flavor. A nice bitterness shows up towards the lasting finish. Lots of nice things here, but it’s too boozy. 7-4-7-4-13-3.5. 140216

Bottle, batch 643. Pours dark maroon with finger thick creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet with chocolate, oak barrels and tobacco, as well as nice smokey whiffs. Tremendous velvety texture, nice full and creamy body, and just a hint of carbonation. Ahhh! Flavour is sweet with roasted malts and chocolate, some herbal hints of camphor, anise and cloves and a good amount of oak, leather and smoke giving an almost perfect lingering mellow finish. One of the best Christmas seasonals in 2013.

22.12.2013, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Nice beige creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry and kind of strange spiced, fiber glass / epoxy, oak, caraway, alcohol, roasted grain, caramel, chocolate, grass. Taste is slightly dry, dark malts, oak, burnt caramel, roasted grain, chocolate, spices, alcohol, soil. Longlasting bitterness, dry slightly harsh mouthfeel. Fair enoug, not really my cup og tea.
