Bottle from Carrefour, presumably. Clear golden, huge, frothy, white head. Aroma is very malty & yeasty, ripe banana, apricot, pear, honey, bread dough, spices. Taste has sweet banana, apricot & melon over a malty base of white bread & honey, bit spicy-yeasty with sourish edge. Grassy hoppy finish, lots of fruity esters & 'wet', soapy spices (coriander) remaining, very soft alcohol glow. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Nothing faulty here, but nothing new either.

Biermaekers recreating a beer from 1998, named after a sheep contest of some sort; steinie bottle from the Carrefour supermarket in Sint-Denijs-Westrem near Ghent. Thick, beaten egg-white, very frothy, towering high, lacing head over a clear, warm pale orange-tinged 'old gold' beer with fine sparkling, misty and deeper peachy with sediment. Aroma of banana, peach, ginger powder, ground coriander seed, bath foam, freshly cut red apple, white bread, grass, chewing gum, ripe pear, curaçao, plaster. Fruity onset, a ton of banana-bubblegummy isoamylacetate, apple- and pear-like impressions, sweetish and a bit sourish with lively fizzing carb, slick and soapy mouthfeel. Clean 'white' bready malt body with a layer of residual, honeyish sweetness on top leading to a finish with strong soapy coriander and soft, slightly spicy and restrainedly floral hop bitterishness as well as something plaster-like. The coriander, apparently applied here in a generous dosage, survives this all. Another thirteen-in-a-dozen Belgian blonde with all the clichés elaborately demonstrated - unnecessary beer to say the least, but not necessarily badly made.
