Bottle shares at InVitro. Pours opaque golden with a white head. Nose is heavy on the esters and the grassy, spicy bitterness with a phenolic touch and some grains too. Taste is grassy, herbal and spicy upfront, with estery touches and a relatively heavy bitterness that lasts well into the finish. There’s some funk to it too, not quite the usual brett character, but some leather/earthy notes are definitely present. Light bodied with a lively carbonation, kinda crisp. Pretty complex and enjoyable, especially as far as wits go but I can also see what could be disliked about it.

Bottle from Beerdome. Aroma is herbal with a hint of citrus. Yeasty with mint, pepper, and grass. Touch of vegetable. Flavour is dry and bitter, body is medium. More herbal and less funky than I hoped for, I expected more from this.

750ml bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates quickly. Surprisingly not as much foam as expected for one of Dany's beers. Aromas of brett, mineral, clove and corinader dominating the nose. Bitter on the palate with corriander, brett and yeast notes standing out. Dry on the finish, but the witbier notes are there. Bitter and dry finish with lingering lemon and coriander. Very enjoyable!

Pours clear gold into a tulip. Soapy white head with little retention recedes leaving a soapy coat. Tart meadow aromas. Soft and watery with lemon joy, aspirin and bandaid upfront turning to tart citrus pith before earthy meadow in the dry, lasting finish. Rated as a saison rather than a wit.

On tap at Copper & Flame, pours a pretty clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out earthy, cardboardy notes, with some coriander and old citrus peel. Flavour is dry and cardboardy, with erratic spiciness, coriander, and cardboard. This is chaotic and just not hitting the right notes. Pretty lame. Unpredictable Fantome variability?
