Another Alliteration is an iteration of our beloved Farmhouse Noir. After fermenting and aging this dark and delightful ale in one of our 90bbl foudres, we pushed it to wine barrels where we added raspberries and tabulated the progression of time. Fruit forward, with a prickly palate, we generously give you Another Alliteration. Sante!

Sample from 2015 bottle at Kurtkeller 027: Sante Adairius-tastic 01 on 07/30/2017. Dark brown color with a medium khaki head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, oak, and berry. Medium body with flavors of chocolate malt, raspberry jam, coffee and vinous oak. The finish is oaky with a berry and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

(On tap @ CBC 2016 Yellow Session, Copenhagen) Pours dark brown with a very loose white head. Nose is quite tart but with some underlying caramel sweetness. Notes of raspberries, chocolate powder, light roast, a bit oaky, nice layer of toast. Flavour is really tart fresh raspberries, acidic but with no acetic component, underlying roasty character to the malt body like a sour brown, a bit bready, lightly burnt toast, slight chocolate powder, some oak. Tart dry finish, with the toasty oaky notes becoming more prominent. Medium body, soft carbonation. For a dark sour, which isn’t always my favourite style, this is really nice.
