750 c&c from ? Pours nebulously dirty reddish brown with a transient, slight beige head. Moderately sour odor of darkish malt and cherries. Med body or so. Flavor is moderately tart/sour with cherries and darkish malt with some musty wood. Not exactly Flanders, but suggestive. Dry.

Bottle, 2014 vintage, purchased in Santa Clara. So much for the description. Pours deep burgundy, small head, dissipates quickly with no lacing. Aroma is cherries and funk, oak tannins. Flavor is medium tart, light plus funky, cherries, oak. Jammy. Medium body, low carbonation. Pretty tasty actually.

Bottle at What the Funk. Pours a clear ruby with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is cherry skin, oak, funk. Thin mouth, tart cherry, funky, light oak, nice sourness, really enjoyed this.

Personal contribution to the “pre-club 54 tasting”. Obtained in a trade with AdamJackson. 2012 Vintage. Very dark red fruit appearance, little in the way of head. Nose is thick dark fruits, lactic, quite puckering, lots of skins, some age,… Taste is dark fruits, puckering wine, very sour, lots of sour cherry skins, some dusty age,… Puckering vinegary body. Pretty good even if I had some higher hopes.

750 c&c shared by Marcus. Pours like a nice cab or zin. A very deep inhale produces a near-homicidal burst of astringent cherry. Med body or better. Flavor is like a very good red wine, except it’s cherry and a tad tart. Woody oak fits.

Sample at Sour Sunday 2015. Ruby red with a small head. Aroma and taste of cherries, oak, funk and light spices. The finish was on the sweet side. Sour but not extremely sour. Balanced and refreshing. Tasty!

Draft pour at the raccoon brew pub. Pours the darkest possible red with a fresh sweet cherry aroma. What an awesome beer this is. Black cherry flavor with near maximum tartness. Finishes with a sweet and sour berry combination along with a red wine touch. This stuff is awesome.

Draft - Sour cherry and a bit of anise. Cloudy maroon with a thin pink head. Sour cherry, a bit of oak and some nice tartness. Reminds me of a Flemish red. Very nice.
