On tap at the big old barrel. Pours a dark red color with a small white head. The aroma is oak and huge cherry. Funky dry flavors, some mostly sweet cherries, more oak, lacto sourness, some vanilla fits into a spicy cherry character. Pretty sour but very drinkable. Awesome. I love me some Kriek.

Ruby red, small vinegar nose. the fresh bing cherries are uber delicious. nice and crusty, sour but not too much. really special and fantastic! I’d love to open another one of these soon. think kriek from 3F but no mustiness or basement funk.

THE Others tasting. Thanks again to Bruce for pulling out another scarce one. Slight haze on this dark red beer, residual apricot coloured head! Palate is light, semi dry and crispy. Nice Duchesse Du Bourgogne vibe here - with added tangy cherry! All right!

Bottle at THE others tasting, big thanks to Bruce. It pours very dark red/purple with a small light pink head. The nose is dark cherry, faint jam, wood, vanilla and toasted coconut. The taste is rich, ripe cherry, tart lemon, moderate acidity, wood, some jam, pithy citrus and light alcohol warmth with a dry, lightly tart finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Not particularly complex, but smooth and very drinkable.

Bottle at The Others Tasting, London - big thanks to Bruce for bringing this back from his travels. Pours dark, blood red with a fine, pink foam head - looks rather fetching. Sweaty cherry nose, good and funky. Medium sweet flavor with bitter cherry pits, good funk, some jammy berries, highly acetic. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Tangy finish, funky and acetic, more tart cherry and bitter pits. Good stuff.

Courtesy of dschiller. It pours opaque copper with gold hues and supporting a tan head of foam. The aroma is vinegar, passion fruit and earthiness. The taste starts off with a strong puckering tartness and vinegar slightly sweetened up by sugary maltiness. It then quickly flows into a tart cherry note. It ends with the addition of a pleasing peppery earthiness in the background that really works for me.

On tap at Cascade, pours a dark purplish red with a small light brown head. Aroma of sour cherries, complex oak barrels and more tart cherries. Flavour is huge on the tart cherries, accentuated well by the oak barrels, some moderate tannins and wood. Big tartness, but in no way undrinkable. High complexity - the oak barrels expertly bring out the tart cherry complexity. Excellent stuff.
