Fresh, unpasteurized, unfiltered beer. Based on the awarded recipe of Panagiotis Tsioros, winner of the first Greek Homebrewing Competition, Septem Citra India Pale Ale, was launched on December of 2013 and constitutes the second member of Septem’s Hobby Hoppy Series.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks avrashi. Hazy golden. Hoppy aroma of overripe fruits, tropical, a bit citric and zesty. Dry-ish flavor with light sweetness, a yeasty touch and quite a bit of fruity hops. Medium-bodied. Nice and refreshing.

Hazy deep golden color with a fine off white head. Nice grapefruit and mild fruity aroma. Moderate sweet and a fine fresh bitterness. Mid bodied. Average carbonation. Tasty grapefruit hoppy and mild fruity flavor. Likeable!

Sampled from a bottle at the Grand Tasting, Fredrik 3.s Hall, RBNG-14. Orange coloured body. Low head. Good amount of lacework. Appealing aroma of orange fruits and herbal hops. Succulent taste of fruity hops, with lemon and orange to the fore and with mid-sweet malts beneath. Bittersweet finish. Refreshing and smooth on the swallow. Likable (Halden 15.02.2014).

From a shared 33cl bottle at RBNG-14. Pours deep golden with a white head. Nice and hoppy aroma with herbs, citrus and pale malt. Moderate sweet with nice hoppy and citrusy flavours. Well balanced and certainly a decent IPA! (2014-02-15 - Grand Tasting, Fredriksten festning, Halden)

Bottle, 33cl, at RBNG-14 Grand Tasting. A big, creamy off-white head leaves lacings over an unclear golden body. Catpee, apricot and orange peel on the nose. Some maltyness too in the aroma, and the flavor being more or less the same. Mostly citrusy flavor, orange and some pine cones, with the maltyness playing the supporting role. Full body and a nice carbonation level. Lasting finish. Overall, sure not bad, but a bit one dimensional. 140215

Pours hazy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, cat-piss, caramel, citrus, grape and pine. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

330ml bottle. Clear golden color with white head. Hoppy citrusy aroma, with notes of grass and pine. Taste has some malty sweetness and the hoppy bitterness of the aroma.

Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of hops, citra, malts, grapefruit, lemon zest, straw. Bitter flavour, hops, malts, honey and marmelade. Finish marmelade, citrus, lingering bitter. Very nice, I’m definitely impressed by the quality coming from Greece nowadays. Keep on the good work, Septem brewing!

Bouteille 33cl de et partagée avec Tinus. BB 10/04/2014. Orangée, col blanc fin. Arôme offre des belles effluves fruitées surtout au niveau agrumes, citronné et qcq notes de pamplemousse. Palais est centré sur le citra restant très en avant avec ce côté sec prenant à la gorge. Le tout est sec et poussiéreux, pointe de mangue-pamplemousse avec au final un petit ajout malté qui enlève un peu de la magie du citra. Le tout va dans la bonne direction mais manque juste un peu de finition.

Man, I love this smell, cause it's a sign of things to come! MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter start, lots of citrus, some caramel malts, grassy bitterness, fruity touch, bit piny, hoppy. Aftertaste: lots of citrus, pretty bitter hoppy, grapefruit, some passion fruit, mango. Lovely beer, I could have this all day long!
