Originally first tasted at a beer festival in the grounds of a abbey in Belgium in 1999. I brought a 330ml bottle on a revisit in 2015 & poured it back at home in Jersey. It pours amber with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of fruits, herbs, spice & hops. Medium body. Dry light bitter finish

Bottle @restaurant Le Val-Fayt, Fayt-lez-Manage, served in a Binchoise chalice. Hazy pale golden colour, good frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma sweet malt, Belgian yeast, grain, coriander, orange peel, some honey. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grain, yeast, lemon, coriander, light candy sugar. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, creamy sweetbitter aftertaste, light peppery notes, well-balanced, tasty, easy to drink, very good.

Best until september '01. Cloudy with only a slight head. Sherry aroma with malt and hazlenuts. Sweetish, rather vinous flavor with grape juice and vanilla. Medium bodied, the texture is staring to get thinner. Nice, fairly complex beer.
