A revisit of our collaborative Double IPA brew with our friends from over t’hills Cloudwater Brew Co. Golden Promise, Wheat, Oat and Crystal Malt were used for a smooth, golden, malty body. A combination of Citra, Simcoe, Eureka and Mosaic T90 hops were used in the whirlpool and dry hopping, with additional Citra & Mosaic LupulN2 Pellets added in the dry hop. Fermented with London Fog yeast, the result is a fruit-filled DIPA with loads of Mango and Peach aroma/flavor, a little residual sweetness and a gravity-defying drinkability. Strap yourself in!

Malt: Golden Promise, Malted Oats, Malted Wheat and Crystal Light
Hops: T90 - Simcoe, Eureka and Mosaic, Cryo - Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic
Yeast: WLP066 London Fog

Can from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light toffee caramel, zesty citrus fruits, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a rich, smooth, juicy citrus, alcoholic, woody hop bitter palate and lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Not the best. Nice dirty hoppiness. Bit stinky. Alright.

Can, bb 7/19. Slightly hazy amber with an inch of white head. Aroma of underripe tropical fruit, lime, some onion chive notes (although they dissipate), oranges, crackers. Full bodied, moderate carbonation. Very sweet with hop aromatics that ooze out of the unfocused background rather than sing. Some resin towards the fairly bitter finish. Good but doesn't live up to the aroma.

500ml can from Brewcraft at home. Slightly translucent orange-copper pour. Aroma is dank mango, fuzzy peach, slight tart strawberry, raw brown sugar, strong booze. Very nice. Taste is sharp resin bitterness, citrus, mango, alcohol, lighter bready malt. Medium bubbly with prickly pithy feel, in a good way. Great DIPA.

Sweet, fruity, juicy. Very tropical. Smooth and easy drinking. Not very hazy, but drinks like it would be. Some good bitterness. Does not disappoint, nice teamwork between these two great breweries. Not fully Westcoast or NE, but inbetween.

500ml can from Ghost Whale. Sweet, malty and caramely with some herbal hops, grass, pine, resin, toffee and hints of bitterness in the finish. Okay juicy west coastish DIPA but a bit too sweet and lacking bitterness and stingy hoppiness.

Hazy golden to orange colour, moderate sized off-white head; aroma of tangerine, apricot, pine and tropical fruity notes; bittersweet taste with apricot, overripe tropical fruits, tangerine and caramel, as well as some spicy celery notes; good one!
