We love how fruity hops are emphasised by the yeast and malt character of New England IPAs. With Lorikeet we're showcasing Galaxy, one of the fruitiest hops to come out of Australia. Packed with overripe tropical fruit aromas Galaxy is one pungent hop.

The label art is by Dan Lean, @merciful_stranger on Instagram, a super talented collage artist from Australia. He creates atmospheric, nostalgic landscapes from vintage imagery.

We even named the beer after a small, fruit loving, Australian parrot (with a very weird tongue).

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with a thick off-white head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pineapple and mango pulp. Flavour of sweet pineapple and watermelon. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. This is very tasty. There’s a huge pineapple hit, and a watermelon sweetness - a flavour I often get from Pressure Drop’s hoppy beers.

(Draught at De Drie Dorstige Herten, Utrecht, 14 Feb 2019) Cloudy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, pineapple and passion-fruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, tropical fruit, passion-fruit, pineapple, mango and a generous citric, piney bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Fruity, juicy and quite refreshing. Nice one.

Can picked up at Kihoskh and shared at home - pours a hazy yellow colour with a nice white head. Vibrant medley of fruity offered with some grapefruit, pineapple, lemon, some zesty bitter citrus rind really coming through, medium body, pine needles and nice dank hoppy finish. Good stuff.

Can. Hazy yellow gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Slightly soft palate but with nibbling carbonated back end. Sweet malts, light creamy sweetness. A contrasting bitter seltzer mid. A generic fruitiness on the back end before quite a tangy bitter finish and a light hop spice sting. Tangy bitter linger. The can says 'low bitterness', I don't agree, the naturally bitter nature of Galaxy hops hasn't been tamed here.
