Malzig-trocken, leicht fruchtig-malzig. Weich, trotzdem trocken. Im Nachgeschmack fruchtig ohne zu trocken zu sein, schön passend herb-freisch. Leckeres Dunkel! 10/11/11/9

Many thanks for this bottle to kappldav123. A dark brown beer with huge head. Nose is on caramel. Aroma is caramel and sour.

0,5 l bottle, and again from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! Very dark redbrown in the glass and a huge head. Malt and christmas cookies on the nose. Starts sweet malty with sweet spicy cookies. Low roastmalt way behind in the second row. Little bit hints of pepper. Interesting brew.

bottle, danke kappldav123! Hazy brown with an off-white head. Dry start, shy malty background with a touch f caramel, dry hops. Almost stout-like dryness.

Bottle bought at the brewery. Looks really good. Beer in the glass light brownish, nice head. Starts mild-malty, modest sweet. Light hints of caramel. Finish well balanced, light earthy. Nice!

Draught @ Gasthaus Zur Krone, Kespermarkt 11, Witzenhausen, Hesse, Germany 37213.Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet dark malt, light roasted. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet dark malt, roasted, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110711]

Very dark brown color; creamy head. It has a mild aroma of caramel and roasted malt. There is too much carbonation, with a negative impact on the flavor; the flavor is just some caramel, with ordinary bitterness. Correctly brewed, but too simple.
