Refrigerated brown bomber poured into a glass. Hazy copper with medium beige head. Aroma is caramel malt, medium body, medium carbonation, and good small-bubble lacing. Taste is caramel malt.

Deep mahogany-caramel body shows a good clarity and dark beige head atop with moderate retention.
Big bourbon notes in the nose are actually fairly well-balanced by a rich caramel-toffee. Almost salty in its character and well-pitted against the spice and liquor of the bourbon. Vanilla, honey, caramel and even light milk chocolate notes provide an easygoing character and while the bourbon is very strong, it’s not terribly aggressive/sharp. Alcohol is well-concealed. Very light oxidation, with dates, chocolate and nougat lingering.
Sweet in the mouth, with a pleasingly syrupy texture that is easily cut by the bourbon and oak. Spicy liquor and dry wood are balanced against rich caramel-toffee. Vanilla lingers, as well as chocolate, raisins and figs. Low carbonation, but what’s there is engaging. Little/no alcohol apparent. Gentle acidity on the finish. Sugars and bourbon linger.

Bomber, picked this up in June in Pits. Lost half of the bottle to gushing. hazy reddish orange, no head. It smells pretty good. Malty, almond joy, coconut and vanilla. Very thin body, has a lot of faded brown ale elements, creamy, sweet, corn, and vanilla. Not awful.

650 ml shared by AdamChandler. Darker, dirty brown color, no head. Aroma is English toffee, earthy grain, oak, bourbon vanilla.

Flavor shows a lot of bourbon, oak, mild malt. Medium body that leans on full. Big bourbon character without any alcohol trace. The bourbon nearly overrides the other flavors. But I am totally fine with that. The barrel has a strong showing here.

Brown colour, slightly dissipating beige head. Aroma of raisins, vanilla, malts, caramel, brown sugar and bourbon. Sweet flavour, vanilla and raisins. Finish vanilla, wood and wood honey.

Bottle shared at the MDBG tasting 4/4/16. Clear brown, thin head, poor retention. Aroma of toffee, vanilla, booze, mild berries. The taste is toffee, vanilla, herbal notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation, boozy.

Thanks to JefVerstraete! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ “Hot & Sweaty RBBSG 2015”. Dark brown amber, little to no head. Nose is big brown sugar & exotic sugar goop mixed with honey & bourbon, thick caramel malts,… Not very elegant or unified but satisfactory for sure. Taste is quite simple, heavy on brown sugar, light boozy / varnish, basic brown honey, bread, sweet, rather unbalanced, slab of sugar, candy with some overriding booze, bourbon is a touch more noticeable in alcoholic notes as opposed to the regular vanilla etc. notes,… Light varnish note in the body. Pleasant but not very elegant & a bit messy.
