Nein. Zuallererst. The Padawan ist nicht nach Star Wars benannt. Die Namensgleichheit ist reiner, wenn auch keinesfalls unerwünschter Zufall. Padawan heißt „Pale Ale doing alright without a name“ und wurde 2014 in einem Online-Voting zum Biernamen für ein namenloses Bierol Pale Ale ernannt. Heute ist The Padawan nicht nur schon Klassiker sondern auch die Nr 1. der Core Range. Und das hat seinen Grund: Denn The Padawan ist irre fruchtig, irre samtig und hat alles was ein Pale Ale braucht: Die richtige Dosis (und die ist natürlich nicht gerade klein) an qualitativ hochwertigem Hopfen, ein feines, ja schon fast cremiges Mundgefühl, schlank im bernsteinfarbenen Körper und a bisserl trocken im Finish. Aber allem voran: Mango. In der Nase, am Gaumen, und es bleibt. Lange. Richtig lange. Spritzig, frisch, schlank und mit deutlicher Bittere. Keinesfalls nur Sommerbier. Unser aller Lieblingsbier!

On tap at Kafe Kult Bier Festival, Munich, Saturday 19th January 2019 in the company of Stefan, Jonas and friends *and also the brewer who came and sat and chatted with us Hazy gold with a slim white head. Lovely soft mouthfeel, very mellow but with a fabulous yeastiness, not sure of the hop but it plays its part very well. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

0.33 bottle from the brewery. Nice head, straw yellow hazy color. Big tropical fruity nose! Flavor is balanced with nuances of pineapple, lychee, Mangosteen?, citrus... And not too bitter. Perfect for getting into craft beer as well, due to the reasonable IBU. Will be looking for more bottles of this.

From tap at Craftbeer Corner, Cologne. Light hazy pale yellow orange color with white head. Malty and hoppy aroma, grass, citrus, pine. Sweet and moderate to heavy bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

330 ml. bottle split by 4 @ streets of Lustenau (Austria) at night. Drank from the bottle. Amazing super fresh fruit white grape, citrus, real proper USA haze, white grape to the max, awesome.

Tap. Ammutsøn, Vienna. Straw gold. Moderate to full haze. Foamy, super sticky, white head. Nose has squeezed orange and grapefruit. Peach stone. Clean malts. Hint of fresh herb. Taste is fruity, citrusy bitter. Some dryness. Fresh and spritzy on the palate. Medium body. Dry, clean, citrusy bitter finish. Very nice.

Pours clear pale golden with a lasting, frothy, off-white head; some lacing. Aroma of white pepper, orange peel, lemon zest, mango, pine. It tastes light fruity sweet, hint of mango & bready malt, and light to medium hoppy bitter, piney & spicy with a sourish hint of zest. Dry, peppery & piney hoppy finish. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Good one, just not that outspoken.

Passion fruit, mango, mandarin, peach, nectarines, lightly malty, honey. Impressively round in aroma and taste, very pleasant. Great!
