Heading into the backcountry, it’s helpful to have a few things on hand. A solid fishing rod (of course), a sturdy pack, and some great beer help the day run smoothly. This session ale is the perfect choice for a day away from it all—golden, easy drinking, and full of citrusy and piney hop flavor.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a totally clear orange hue with a medium white head. A nice soft light fruity nose. Fresh, toast, perfume, mild bitterness. Very smooth. Great for 4%. Solid.

12 ounce can from Costco Appleton (err, Grand Chute, I guess, home a bunch of corrupt cops), 6/29/19. I guess I should add that place and tick it because several Costco locations are already in the DB and they're all pretty much the same. Slightly hazy gold, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of lemony, green, dank hops, pale malts with a hint of graininess. Taste is lemon, orange, resin, hints of pine, pale malt. Medium bodied, juicy, lingering bitternes. Leave it to SN to make a really fucking good Session IPA.

Can. Orange with a large white head that fades to around an inch. Bright aroma of mandarin, peach, passionfruit and a little mango. Pretty light bodied, getting towards thin. Dry so even though it's mainly fruity it dosn't seem fruit cup like. Some crackers. Decent bitterness. Very much the sort of Session IPA that English golden ales were a decade ago. Good.

Tap at the Torpedo Room. Pours coppery gold with a white head. Aroma of pale stone fruit. Med body or so. Flavor is pale stone fruit with a bit of earthiness. Pretty dry; pretty bitter. Now it seems a bit less thank med body. Getting grapefruit in the finish. VG session.
