Bottle pour at Open Baladin, pours a dark amber, served with a lime wedge. Nose smells like vermouth, burnt sugars, and alcohol. Flavour is very unusual, with plenty of vermouth, lots of spices, and toffee. I’m not a vermouth fan so I don’t really appreciate this, but I guess it’s good for what it is.

Bottle. Copper colour, small off-white head. Aroma is basil, herbal, grainy and some earthy tones. Flavour is strongly herbal along with really sticky sweet syrupy and sugary tones with mild chocolate. The herbal side is a bit basil like, but not basil. Kind of wormwoody. Nice, but also strange.

--Bottled. -- Almost clear mahogany colour, no head.Intense aroma of bitter herns and alcohol in the background - Fernet Branca style. Sweet and caramelly with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Velvetty caramel, lots of wormwood, cinnamon and other bitter herbs. Finishes with warming alcohol and intense herbal bitterness.

27/4/2024. Bottle shared at fonefan Ulfborg tasting. Pours unclear very dark brown with minimal head. Aroma is musty, herbal, leafy, toffee, liquorice, cinnamon, chai tea. Taste starts very sweet, bitterness develops quite strongly without being harsh, alongside some herbal tartness. Quite full bodied, smooth, soft/low carbonation. Very complex sipper. Enjoyed it.

Bottle @ Fonefan tasting. Hazy amber without head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and heavy herbal. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and rather bitter finish with heavy alcohol. Oily and soft. Interesting beer reminding me of stuff like Fernet Branca, Jägermeister etc. 270424

Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Herbal tea notes. Moderate bitter very hertbal flavor. Average finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle @Ulfborg. Clear amber, no head, slightly oily. Spicy aroma, nutmeg perhaps. Bittersweet flavour, caramely, syrupy with quite some alc warmth.

ABV: 19.0%. Clear medium amber colour with virtually no head. Aroma is light heavy malty, caramel, minty, herbs - spicy. Flavor is heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, herbs - spicy, caramel, dried fruit, peppery - spicy bitter. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20240427]
