Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to nonic glass.
Appearance: brown color with a quarter finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: coffee roastiness, milk chocolate, sweet wafer malts
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to roasty quality; finishes coffee forward with a kiss of chocolate
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness but also some roasty grind on the tongue, nothing offensive, just noticeable
Overall: not a bad coffee brown ale, perhaps I could come back to.

Draft at Ale House Amesbury, MA. Deep brown color. Strings of lace around the snifter. Aroma of coffee and nuts. Flavor of roasted coffee, malt and slight chocolate.
Good body, (maybe a tad light) decent mouthfeel. The finish is light roast with a lingering coffee aftertaste. Pretty nice. Good coffee flavor.

Dark brown color. Brown sugar and molasses in the nose. Very malty. Smooth mouth. Tons of coffee, not overly complex. Molasses. It’s ok. Big lingering coffee finish.

Tap at Stags head tap takeover. Nose is coffee ice cream and light earth. Tastes like autocraft coffee milk syrup (my RI peeps know what that is) some earth, cocoa powder, green wood. Thinner palate. Tasty enough

Tap at Cask and Vine Deep dark brown color with faint ruby and a bubbly off white head. Huge coffee nose with faint caramel chocolate and earthy hop. Rich caramel and light chocolate maltiness with plenty of coffee flavor. Decent coffee brown ale

Tap pour into taster cup at the source. Appearance is medium dark brown like a root beer/cola, nice sparkle, small beige head with nice lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, mild coffee and chocolate. Taste is nice roasted malts/coffee. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with foamy texture, average carbonation and crisp finish like the taste. Overall, not much in the way of complexity but a nice roasted malty, coffee beverage but with a little less punch and weight than a porter/stout.

Pours deep mahogany into my Smuttlabs beaker. Mocha head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Chocolate and coffee aromas. Dry with sweet caramel, marshmallow and coffee upfront turning quite astringent in the medium length mocha finish. Similar to a dry Cafe Americano.
