Burbon, burnt raisin, brown sugar, full body. Fairly big and boozy, sweet but not overly complex. Lingering bourbon finish. Meh not bad but doesn’t rock my world.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a hazy brownish-orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing Aroma of roast malt, hops, fruit and circus peanuts. Full-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hops, oak and ripe fruit. The finish is mildly boozy with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Draft at Kern River. Nose is toffee, light bourbon, cotton candy, and vanilla. Hazy brown with a small beige head. Flavor is lightly bitter, lightly sweet, with hints of the toffee, vanilla, and light bourbony warmth.
