From a bottle shared with nick. Pours deep amber with very little head. Citrusy hop aroma. Apricot and grapefruit. Bitter finish. Really tasty.

Aroma is somewhat sweet with resin, some exotic fruits and caramel. Flavour is also somewhat sweet with resiny notes, some exotic fruits, caramel malt and hints of gooseberry bush. Nice and hoppy but too sweet.

ABV: 11,25% - Pours dark orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of super fresh fruity hops, caramely malts, hints of lemon, grapefruit and exotic fruits. Taste of citrusy and fruity hops, caramely malts, hints of lemon, grapefruit and exotic fruits. Finish is hoppy and malty with some caramely and lemony notes. Nice, quite hoppy and malty but still extremely well balanced IIPA.

Bottle at my house with John. Pours amber orange with off white head. Nose/taste of citrus, caramel, pink grapefruit, resin, pine and harsh tree sap. Finishes abrasive enamel stripping resin. Medium body.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small creamy white head that leaves some lacing. Strong strong initial aroma of grapefruit, pine, hay, and cat urine. Initial flavor is strongly bitter and very lightly sweet with a bit of caramel way underneath the hoppy flavors. Total hop bomb, and my initial impression was that this was simply too much of a good thing. However, as the beer breathed it changed character noticeably and become much more appealing. The cat piss faded underneath the grapefruit and pine, and some caramel/toffee notes came out to provide nuance and balance. Creamy and somewhat oily in the mouth. Medium body. This is a very interesting beer, and well worth a try whether you like it or not.

Bottle @ Dan’s house. Thanks to nightrider. Fairly clear orange appearance with a cream colored head. Spicy hoppy, grapefruity, a bit soapy/floral, lightly toasty malty aroma. Garlic, onion, spicy, grapefruity, lemon, piney hoppy, somewhat dank, light caramel, bready flavor. Not super fresh but still pretty tasty.

Bottle: Poured a copper clear with a frothy lacing off white head. Nose is sweet fruit and floral, almost throwing the name sake off. Then in a flash it hammers home that hoppy triple IPA with nice floral. So fresh! Thanks to timfoolery for sending me tho treat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Acquired in a trade. Enjoyed in a Hill Farmstead glass slightly above fridge temp. It became nicer as it warmed up.
A - Burnt golden orange. 1 finger head that faded to a small ring. No lacing at all.
S - Intense on the nose. Caramel, brown sugar, burnt oak and grapefruits.
T - Whoa. Up front malts that are power the palate. No more of these IMperial IPAs. Too intense. Finish is light floral, grapefruit and yeah, the Citra dominates
M - 25% carbonation, heavy body. Intense bitterness at the finish. Sticks around for a long time.
O - Yeah, I’ve been drinking a lot of Imperial IPAs lately. They’re far too malty and unbalanced. ugh.

22oz bomber pours clear copper with tan head. The aroma has a good load of bitter hops that are vaguely spicy, pine and earthy citrus with a light background of biscuit malts. The taste is pleasingly hoppy with both flavor and bitter hops creating a sweet orange hard candy sensation along side of resiny pine bitterness. To midway the bitterness really ramps up and into the finish it gives way to hints of biscuit malts and caramel malts. Nice full hoppy rich brew.

22 oz. bottle, pours a clear golden / copper with a tiny, quickly-dissipating white head. Aroma exudes loads of resinous hops, moderate tropical fruit character (mango and pineapple), and a generous portion of caramel malt - slight candied sugar component too though not dominant. Flavour has truckloads of resinous hops, not much of the tropical fruits, a perfect amount of sweetness, and just enough backing of caramel malt. Extremely hoppy and quite bitter, though never too puckering on the palate. Certainly a superior example of how you do a Imperial IPA - brilliantly balanced while still being very hoppy but not too annoyingly astringent. Most excellent and highly drinkable.
