Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Pours a hazy deep amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sour fruit and strong acid with a hint of backing funk. Flavor has sour fruit but finish is more acidic with funk.

Bottle @ Matt’s house, courtesy of a Midwest friend. Pours a clear reddish brown appearance with a thin, light brown head. Vinous, richly tart raspberry, tangy, light lacto, juicy fruity aroma. Big juicy raspberry, oaky, quite funky, super easy drinking, moderately sour flavor. Really a nice beer.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours an opaque reddish-brown color with a thin and creamy beige head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Sour berries in the nose along with touches of malt. Full-bodied with a sour fruit character with notes of raspberries and other dark fruits. There are also notes of earthy malt and spices and a hint of bourbon. The finish is tart fruit with a lingering oaky and malty aftertaste. Good all around.
