341mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp, pours copper amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts, dried dark fruits (plum, raisins, dates), and a slight roasted character. Flavour of plum, caramel malts, some floral notes, citrus hops and a slight alcohol finish. Not terribly complex or dense in the palate, but a very enjoyable barley wine nonetheless.

Draft through the Randall: Poured a medium amber color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention. Aroma is totally dominated by huge floral notes with definitive resin notes. Taste is also a super nice mix between light caramel malt and toffee which are completely overshadowed by loads of floral and resinous notes which are quite exquisite. Body is about average with good carbonation and unsurprisingly totally dominated by hops. Very well done and a very nice discovery overall.

A golden amber ale with a thin white head. A herbal aroma, with British hops and vinous notes. In mouth, a barley wine with catnip, mineral qualities, treacle, lots of British hops, a bit light but good. On tap at Brouhaha, March 28 2009.
