Pours clear, very dark amber to brown. Small white head. Smell is rich, dark sugar, caramel, hints of earthyness. Sharp MF. Round balanced sweetness, in a dark, earthy, caramelly manner. Mild bitterness to it as well. OK mf, rather high carbo. Not as deep as some others in the genre, but alright.

Donkerbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is krachtig, licht bitter en licht zoet met fruit, bessen en braam, caramel en iets van cognac. Een top bier.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. A bit hazy ruby red color, average to medium sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweetness, slightly alcohol, sweet oak wood. Suitable body and carbonation. Nice.

Thanks! Sampled draft @ BBF 2014. Murky brownish with no head. Overripe fruit, overripe banana, brown sugar & soap nose. Taste is soy, gravy, umami, brown banana, overripe fruit, dried fruits, cheap chocolate. Med soapy body. After some quite interesting beers, Gulden Spoor re-branding themselves with yet another Blond / Dubbel / Tripple / Quadrupel seems like a step back to me personally. I find little to get particularly excited here.
