Beiaard Bier (Bière de Carillon) is a top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle. Beiaard is of course bronze colored and contains 3 different types of malt (one pale-ale malt and two caramel malts). You taste a full-bodied beer with a harmonious harmony of malt flavor and creamy caramel notes and a light, sweet reverberation. The beer tastes fresh and gives you a warm feeling afterwards.

Broeder Jacob honors the Belgian craft beer culture, under the motto 'Beer is Music'. It was therefore only logical that the Leuven bell and carillon association ''Campanae Lovanienses'' thought of this beerfirm when the idea matured to develop a Carillon beer.

330 ml. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems & Zoon. Literally cellar temperature. BBF 13/05/2015. Hazy overripe fruit amber, basically no head. Nose is moldy, rotting fruit, nasty, metallic, nasty old cereal,… Taste is metallic old cereal, fizzy, old barley, cooked apple, light cabbage, mold, something nasty cereal, cuberdons, nasty tea bag tea,… Fizzy odd metallic, cooked apple body,… Feels a bit like a reject. I wouldn’t feel good having my name attached to this if I had commissioned a beer.

Hazy to cloudy deep amber colour, large foamy off-white head, recedes slowly, good lacing. Aroma sweet malty, exotic fruits, caramel, brown sugar, citrus, grass. Taste medium sweet, slightly bitter, fruity, caramel. Medium body, oily to creamy texture, peppery on the tongue, average carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, spicy and herbal notes, overall just another decent belgian ale...

27/XI/14 - 33cl bottle @ Gent Horeca Expo - BB: 13/V/16 (2014-1424)

Clear orange beer, bit cloudy, creamy irregular off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: yeasty, peaches, fruity touch, some orange peel. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet and sugary, bit malty, orange peel, some oxidation (?), soft bitterness. Aftertaste: little bitter, spicy touch, orange peel, soft sugary notes. Very balanced and some interesting flavours.

Commissioned beer with off-white, thick and stable head and hazy brownish amber colour. Caramelly and fruity aroma, mango, passion fruit, biscuit, cognac, tea, meat broth. Fruity taste, sweet but not sticky, caramelly, toasty, yeasty, with grassy hop bitterish finish. Quite nice.

Helder bruin bier met veel schuim. Smaak is licht bitter, kruidig en niet zoet met sporen van noot, hooi en caramel. Blijft redelijk lang hangen.

Bottle @ M Café, Leuven. Amber colour, white foam. Soft carbonation. Sweet fruity nose with light bitter hoppy finish. Also some notes of brown sugar. Decent beer.
