Bottle at home. Almost clear amber with big beige head. Caramel, sweet sugary malts, spruce, orange peel, light woody, grapefruit, tangerine, marzipan, dried flowers. Quite sweet and a balanced medium bitterness. Over medium bodied with sugary almost oily feel. Like a classic West Coast DIPA, I quite like it but it's a bit too sweet.

New DVDK beer, a triple dry-hopped American IPA - sound solidly old school. Opens with a hiss and 'gun smoke', after which foam starts creeping out of the bottle neck, but no true gushing. Very thick, frothy, yellowish egg-white, mousy, slowly dissipating head on a cloudy, deep peach blonde beer with amberish-orange tinge, but becoming very muddy and dark beige-hued with sediment. Powerful aroma of fresh orange zest, spruce shoots, old bread crust, melon, dried lemon peel, pink grapefruit, wormwood, moist baker's yeast, dried thyme, stale old barbecue spices, unripe peach, hints of pineapple, old cigarette shag, fried bell pepper, toasted carrots, clove, bitter honey, vague eucalyptus-like phenolic note faraway in the background. Fruity, sweetish onset, pineapple, peach and light melon notes, minerally carb - a bit stinging even, but not too 'painfully' so; soft bready malt core, bread-crusty and old-biscuity, flavoured with lingering fruity esters and clove-like spicy phenols but of course much more by very grapefruity and even piney, orange-zesty and very slightly sweet-fruity (melon) hops, which add an expressive, leafy, quinine-like, long bitterness, through which these sweet orange and melon impressions subtly pierce along with some powdery, bready yeastiness and a vague hint of warming alcohol. The hop bitterness gets the last word, though. Old school indeed, West Coast-inspired but with more contemporary fruity IPA influences as well - but also with a notable 'Belgian' yeastiness; a bit of a 'passe-partout' IPA, so to speak, but if I had to taste this blind, Belgian IPA would be my first guess in terms of style - albeit a very good one. Granted, its appearance could have been better as its muddiness hardly looks appealing, but I sure enjoyed this one a lot in spite of that. An expressive, solid IPA fitting well in this brewery's house style.

Dark golden colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of floral and fruity hop notes. Great body and texture. Slight caramel / syrup bittersweetness.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 07/2021.
Reste classique dans les grandes lignes US californienne. Petite touche résineuse et épicée. Douceur sucrée latente qui ressort bien avec l'amertume;

Bottle. Amber color. Floral aroma with spicy notes. Malty yet dry, bready flavor with yeasty and floral notes, dried citrus and some grass and herbal notes. Not bad.

Gott
