Das Geilings Bräu Alt erinnert an ein Alt von damals. Eine Wolke aus Schaum schwebt über dem dunkelroten Trunk. Im Antrunk sammeln sich fruchtige Aromen und Karamellnoten und werden von dezenten Röstaromen begleitet. Die spürbare Bittere schmiedet sich an die Malznoten und rundet das Alt ab.
Ein Altbier vom Niederrhein, für den Niederrheiner.

Bottle, courtesy of Erzengel, shared at Ganz with Gabor and Undos. Copper pour with a white head. Nose is bread, caramel and biscuits with a light bitterness. Taste is sweetish malts, bready anf biscuity with earthy notes. Closes with a dry and slightly bitter finish, has a light body and average carbonation.

50 cl. flip-top bottle @ home, bought @ Edeka, Kleve.
Clear brown with an off-white head. Hoppy and malty aroma. Sweet taste with a medium bitter finish. Humble altbier but extremely tasty and thirst quenching, wonderful brew.

0,5 l bottle from Erzengel. Thanks a lot! Clear and darkest red brown with a very foamy pale beige head in the glass. Looks really good. Low malty, little bit toasted malt on the nose. Taste starts malty and surprisingly with a short fruity sweet shot, followed by a more expected dry toasted malt sequence and caramel. Smooth stuff, very low carbonated. Easy drinker.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, almost black, nice head. Fine roasty-malty aroma, fine hoppy touch. Starts the same, fine roasty-malty, dry, light woody touch. Background with wonderful bitter hoppy notes. Well balanced. Quite drinkable. Nice one!

Smooth mild beginning. Grainy, mild with a nice floral bitterness in the end. Fruity, round and smooth. Mild grainy malty finish, round with a deep malty back. Nice.

50cl swing top bottle. A clear orange brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of caramelized malt, spicy bitter hops. Taste of bitter caramelized malt, spicy hops. Good!

Leicht erhöhte Karbonisierung. Ausgewogener, gleichzeitig hopfiger und stark röstiger Beginn. Trocken, steigend hopfig, das Röstaroma bleibt aber stärker. Im Hintergrund dunkel malzig, moderat karamellig. Langer malziger, intensiv bitterer Nachhall. Gut! 11/12/10/12/10/12
