A beer made for sitting on the beach in the Californian sun. Or you know, looking at it on your phone. This juicy pale ale plays on classic tropical and pine flavours, with a relaxed mango twist. Refreshing doesn't even come close.

330ml can from Sainsbury’s, Camden Town on 22nd May 2020. Pours hazy gold with shallow white foam and full lacing. Zesty citrus aroma. Rich citrus grapefruit and peel in-mouth, and a reflective citrus finish. A good malt backing rounds the flavour experience. Zingy mouthfeel and a full body.

Can, 0.33l. Aroma of mango, passion fruit, pineapple, citrus, resin, flowers and coconut. Pours cloudy pale golden color with thin creamy white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts light to medium sweet biscuity and bready, following is resinous, herbal and mild tropical fruity, mouthfeel is rather dry, while finish is pretty bitter. Medium body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. So Cal and so flat...

Self served from Perfect Draft dispenser, at Bar de Jamesie1857. Bit of a lively one, clear yellow with an unruly massive bubbly top. Nose is sweet citrus, bit of fresh green hop. Taste is bittersweet, nice syrupy mouthfeel, low carbonation. First time I've risked a new beer with the P-Draft, not disappointed.
