Bottle from the reserve series. Boozy, but fruity tropicalness. Too strong! Smells alright. Taste is hot booziness. Bit spritzy, tropical fruit, taste is decent but sooooo hot it burns.

dank, deep amber color. bitter decent malt backbone. Rounded. Low carbonation. Not the homerun I had in January of the 8.0% beer, but still juicy and highly quaffable. Good stuff

Bottle by mail order. Metallic funky nose, grapefruit, seems off. Deep copper color, cloudy, very carbonated as with an infection. Bitter, funky flavor, grapefruit, then sweet. Fizzy and gassy. Drinkable but not nice.

Beautiful deep copper color. Mango, grapefruit, apricots just shine in the nose. Superbly balanced, with excellent backbone, so fuckin smooth. Just like an English IPA with non-English hops at 8%. Super well put together. One of the best iipas I’ve had in Japan and globally competitive

Hazy dirty brown color. Frothy white head. The nose is very clean hoppy straight forward with a touch of tropical fruit, but hops feel a bit old. The mouth is clean, hoppy with lots of pine notes, but a bit of bandaid. Very light body. Slightly astringent. Not a bad beer but quality of hops kill the quality of this beer.

AJB  IPA

500ml as part of the 2016 Brewer’s Reserve Society. I served it in my IPA glass where it poured a dull brass with a crazy thick head of foam that was quite impressive.

It’s got an enticing hop bouquet of tropical fruits, very mild pine and maybe vanilla or some kind of butteriness. Medium bodied with a somewhat oily mouthfeel. The taste is chock full of hoppy essential oils that deliver woodsy pine, juicy fruits but also an earthy bitter finish before the sweet fruits return in the aftertaste.
Pretty good.
