Ein süffiges, dunkles Bockbier. Mit seinem sehr hohen Stammwürzegehalt und 8,2 % Alkohol bietet dieser Doppelbock eine geschmacklich interessante Abwechslung. Das dunkle Doppelbock-Bier mit seiner leichten, angenehmen Karamellnote in Verbindung mit einem weichen Röstmalzaroma ist herzhaft-würzig und kraftvoll-süffig.

Bottle. "Premium doppelbock", gold label version. One of the darker doppelbocks I’ve tried. Small head. Aroma fruitcake, usual doppelbock smell. Taste malty, raisin, sweet up fruit, bitter finish.

Bottle, sold as Bischoff Doppelbock, Café Morshuis Albergen. Deep dark brown color. Malty, slightly roasty aroma with laurel. Malty sweetish, roasty flavor with salt and laurel. Roasty soft bitter aftertaste. Medium to full bodied. Well balanced doppelbock.

Für einen Doppelbock sehr blumig-frischer Hopfengeruch, dabei leicht malzig. Der Antrunk ist malzig-trocken, dabei leicht süßlich. Zum Hauptteil hin wird das Bier schön vollmundig-süffig und angenehm malzig-süßlich. Dunkel und schwer. Keine störende alkoholische Note. Schön abgewogen. Der Nachgeschmack bestätigt den Gesamteindruck:

Botella de 50 cl de el c. Ingles tomada la ultima vez en noviembre de 2005 (fecha de cons pref en 27-04-2006). Color oscuro con sabores potenciados por un volumen alcohólico de 7.5 vol. No esta mal.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, süß, fruchtig, Karamell. Geschmack röstmalzig, stark fruchtig süß, Karamell, schokoladig, leicht alkoholisch.

Catch up rating. Weak and murky doppelbock, nowhere near the quality of some of the Bavarian standouts. props for trying but just doesn’t cut it.

Bottle. Red chestnut, low brown head. Roast, light smoke notes, caramelized and nutty notes, good bitter and aromatic hop finish. Fullbodied, dry. Moreish.

500ml bottle [as "Doppelbock", thanx Roman]. Clear deep reddish glowing brown colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Dark malty aroma with a cautious caramel note, hoppy overtones. Taste is moderately dry dark malty. Expressionless, slightly boring Doppelbock.
