375ml bottle, thanks MonsterMagnet for sending me this! Pours unclear golden orange, modest foam scattered atop. Aroma brings cheese, funk, fresh mint, herbs. Taste presents a sprightly carbonation, fresh and zesty with some pleasant wild funk, some cheesy glimpses, curiously sweet with greengage, gooseberry, nice lactic edge with a good soothing sour vibe. Interesting. Great balance of wild elements with intriguing fruity moments. Very good.

American style wild ale (or, more simply put: blonde sour ale) from this Dutch craft brewery, aged on red wine barrels and bottled in 37.5 cl ‘geuze’ bottles. Snow white, medium thick, mousy head, hazy orange deep ‘old gold’ robe. Aroma of green gooseberries, raw rhubarb, clear vanilla scent from the oak wood, very dry white wine, red wine vinegar, green kiwi, sour apple, sourdough, lemon, hint of rubber. Crisp, fruity onset, green gooseberry, crabapple and lemon impressions, prickly carbonation, bit stingy but adding a nice minerally effect. Full, sourdoughy and white-bready maltiness, clear drying lactic sourness throughout with grapey, lemony and yoghurty features, lingering breadiness in the finish paired with lightly but noticeably tannic woodiness and a tart wine-like aspect, but the lemony quality of the lactic fermentation prevails. Could perhaps have done with a bit more of the wine barrel ageing, but in any case a solid postmodern sour.

Bottle at Maakun’s. Hazy golden with white head. Sweet, and grainy, very french virgin oaky woody, vanilla tones over apricot and grainy sour. Medium body and soft carbonation. Nice smooth and subtle sour, bit Nevel vibes, but then the Tripel version. Quite nice!!

Bottle, directly from the brewery. Color: Bit hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Bit vinuous, wood, Brett, fruity grapes. Taste: Nice amount of farmhouse Brett, wood, quite a lot of tannins, fruity moderate tart grapes, grapeskin. Hints of sweet and sour apple. Light to moderate sweet and light bitterness. Subtle vinuous. Medium body, below average carbonation. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Great wild ale.
