Flaske 500 fra Vinmonopolet, Bestillingsutvalget. Mørk gyldenbrun. Uklar. Middels høyt skum med punktlacing. God tung fruktaroma. Smaken er tørket aprikos og blir syrlig bitter etter hvert. Bra - men monoton.

Amber with off white head - Nice hop aroma with fruits - Nice malts to support a fruity hop profile that goes into a dry citrus flavour - Finishes with dry citrus - This was good

26/VII/14 - 50cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ Zwommie's place - BB: 23/XI/15, brewed: 23/XI/13 (2014-845)

Little cloudy dark orange beer, creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, honey, sweet, caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet, honey, caramel, sweet again, citrus, hoppy, very malty. Aftertaste: bitter, some honey, caramel, malty, some citrus. Too old I guess. No idea what happened, because this had just hit the shelves about two weeks ago.

Bottle from Cornelius. Murky ruby body with a thick off-white head. Clumpy yeast floating around (I made a mess of the pour). Steady carbonation. Excellent lacing. Aroma of mandarin, furniture polish, grass, toffee apple and dough. Flavour of grapefruit, passionfruit and caramel sweetness. Medium body with a smooth, oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A wonderful, full-flavoured IPA. I must try more from this brewery.

Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok on the tap takeover/meet the brewer evening. Poured a hazy medium amber with a round bubbly head and a little broken lace. This is becoming a theme with Nøgne beers these days. The aroma is big mandarin citrus. Did this really ONLY come from the hops? The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a smooth rich citrus hop palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. I’m so glad those hops found their way to Grimstad!

Bottle at home. The colour is cloudy dark orange with a medium, light beige head. A little careful aroma with a fruity touch of grapefruit, fruity hops and some pine. The flavour is more pronounced and similar with grassy hops and grapefruit. Has a rich and slick mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. A fruity and nice IPA.

50cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Murky amber colour, off-white head. Lots of yeast. Aroma is a bit muddy, earth, sweat, citrus, clementines, grapefruit, sweet, caramel. Flavour is yeasty, earth, citrus fruits, oranges, clementines, sweaty, grapefruit, caramel, bitter finish. Medium-bodied. It’s a bit cloying, perhaps should’ve been more careful with the yeast.

Bottle bought from Bierkompass.de in March 2014. Hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma of citrus, orange, hay and some toffee. Similar taste. The finish was medium bitter. A relaxed and easy to drink one.
