No. 15, much like a certain fabled two-piece candy bar of our youth, rich, dark chocolate notes accented with aromatic toasted coconut. What would add depth and character to this already delicious combo, we wondered? The answer is time (6 months) well spent in the very best rum barrels available.

12 oz. bottle. Thanks, Brian! Pours black, with an aggressive, very bubbly, tan head that is gone almost immediately. Massive boozy aroma, with notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and malt balls. Black bread, sweet cherries, coconut, milk chocolate, cloves, and sherry. Very sweet and boozy, and just a hint of of tartness which plays very nicely. This is a phenomenal, booze bomb. No subtlety, but glorious rum notes and smooth maltiness. Delicious!

Tap into a snifter showing coffee caramel and no head. The nose shows caramel malts with a raisin-like edge. The palate is full bodied and lightly carbonated. Alcohol spiciness immediately shows. Very sweet flavors of caramel and raisin with light vanilla.

This is a syrupy, sugary mess. Pours like syrupy oil. Black without any head or lacing. Extremely sweet finish. All milk chocolate with some light coffee. Like molasses. Bottle pour at Churchkey feature event.

12 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small tan head. Aroma is decadent, with notes of coconut, sweet dark fruits, and candied sugar - hints at cloying sweetness. Flavour is intensely sweet, with hints of coconut, run barrels and dark fruits, with way too much sweetness. Extremely cloyingly sweet, making this decadent treat difficult to drink in more than a few ounces. Gets more and more cloying with each successive sip. I see the appeal to this, but it's way too sweet for my tooth.

355 ml. bottle split by 3 @ “Memorabel Tastingkje”. Thanks to tderoeck! 2013 Vintage. Pours black with no head. Flakes of coconut underneath cap. Nose is crazily alcoholic as is the whole beer, we had a 16.45 % ABV Avery beer right before this one & it was nowhere near as boozy as this one. Pure booze in the nose, harsh with thick chocolate syrup underneath, very sweet rum, brown sugar, vanilla, very thick & syrup-like. Wowza this is boozy. Taste is very sweet, brown sugar, chocolate syrup, molasses, toffee, thick malts, prune, plum, date, vanilla, thick black chocolate, booze kick, thick rum, pure booze kick, wowza, thick syrupy creamy body, soft carb. Fun but sort of overkill as well. To bad that I didn’t get any coconut in here but it is probably too old for that now. Great stuff all the same, brutal.

Clear red purple beer, small beige irregular head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive, chunks of what I suspect is coconut in the bottle. Aroma: lots of dark chocolate, caramel, gianduja,. MF: ok carbon, full body, bit sticky. Taste: sweet, very sugary, lots of coconut, sweet, bit artificial, lots of caramel, some raisins, ripe banana, little sourish, alcohol. Aftertaste: lots of caramel, vanilla, bourbon notes, sugary, hint of citrus, mocha, sweet malty base keeps coming through. Very decent stuff!

Dark brown color almost no head. Deep aroma of chocolate with coconut, alcohol. Full bodied, extra sweet, with partial balance given by the strong alcohol presence; strong raisins, some nuts, spirit (rum), touch of coconut.
Nice drink, very strong, not graceful but pleasing.
