The form of the bottle is very strange, very simple labels. The beer in the glass looks good, more red than blond. The beginning is very fruity-zippy. With every gulp the beer becomes drier. But very drinkable - a good beer.

Test vom 23.12.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,12,12,12,13,12 - 11,85

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy amber golden with a nice, off-white head. Very fresh and fruity nose with lots of banana. Medium body with lots of banana, yeast and phenols. Dry finish with the fruitiness still present. 160806

An unclear dark orange beer with a light orange head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of banana, but also notes of oranges. The flavor is sweet with a medium presence of banana, while the body is a bit thin.

Bottle. Cloudy red orange, beautifull creamy golden head. Fruity (banana, peaches) and light wooden aroma. Fullbodied and chewy. Doughy base, ok fruit, very light wooden notes. Pleasant.

Bottle: Reddish amber coloured, off-white head, quickly diminishing; fruity nose (bananas, cloves), some "barrique-like" notes detectable; sweetish, a bit tart flavour, soft MF, pretty light bodied; short fruity finish with a faint sharpness or acidity. Drinkable, but not very well balanced Weizen.............

500 ml bottle, bought at KaDeWe, Berlin. Murky brown colour, large off-white head (but relatively moderate for a hefeweizen), does not last "forever". Moderate carbonation. Lovely cloves and banana aroma, hints of dried fruits, oak and fresh brown bread. Flavour is bready and fairly dry, moderate notes of cloves, mouthfeel is relatively watery and bland. Does not quite deliver what the aroma promises. Probably better with food than on its own.

(bottle) Cloudy and hazy reddish amber colour with a fluffy off-white foam with lace. Soft wheat-malty, slightly woody aroma with cloves and a restrained fruit-character. Light sweet flavour, very light bodied, low carbonation which is below being smooth. Dry and soft wheaty, slightly toasty and woody taste and an almost watery mouthfeel. Dry and slightly bitter, slightly fruity finish with very present cloves. Quite watery, not very round, but “enriched” with beech-wood chips and heavily overpriced brew (1,80 €/0,5l).

Bottle. Distinct banana aroma with some yeast. Unclear amber colour. Big stable white head. Sourish flavour. Seems to have a little smokiness in the aftertaste.
