Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple. At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains - all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned.

bottle @ Plan B Simsbury, aroma of spice and citrus. A little sweeter than Im used to for a tripel. tastes of sweet malts and yeast. A little too light in color for me, nice taste, a little high in abv. not much, but they dont hide it as well as some other tripels. good, not great

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a thick white head that became small quite quickly. Aroma is full of sweet notes, with sweet grain, yeast, floral notes and light fruit notes. Flavor begins very sweet but calms down with floral, yeast and light apple notes. Very highly carbonated.

bottle, pours hazy orange with a tall frothy white head. This beer is active! Aroma of citrus fruit, yeast and c\andy sugar. Sweet candy sugar and belgian yeast flavors with a dry lightly bitter finish of pepper and hops. Nice beer.

Bottle from Secret Santa, thanks! Blonde, hazy. Strong peararoma with a hint of Poire Williams you can also find in fresh Duvel. Flavor initially has pear fruit. Perfumed with some alcohol. Flowers in the aftertaste. Quite drinkable triple, maybe a bit too perfumed.

12 ounce bottle at Capital Ale House Downtown. Pours a hazy golden orange color with a large head. Average head retention and lacing. Aroma of yeast, banana, citrus and tropical fruits. Taste is bready and yeasty with huge citrus and tropical fruit notes. Light peppery spice also. Full bodied. Nice beer.

Overall Impression: Add this to the list of Weyerbachers I haven't had in quite some time. A re-rating is really needed here, but for now I'll use the score I have from a few years back that had no notes with it.

Pours hazy golden orange color with white head. Fruity, yeasty and spicy aroma. Sweet fruity flavor. Belgian yeast and some spices also. Medium body with tingly carbonation.

Pours a cloudy light coppery color with a quickly descending head that nevertheless leaves lacing. Strong banana and spice aroma to it. Really heavy on the fruitiness, especially on the banana flavors. Hasa dry beginning to the taste. It is really creamy for a tripel. Minimally carbonated... the way I like it. Taste is not overly complex, but alcohol is covered well.

bottle - It’s a tripel? Interesting. The bottle says "Belgian style golden ale". It pours a rich gold and has a yeasty, bread malt aroma. The flavor is sweet malt with a little light hops and a fruity yeast character, as well as a hint of spice. It’s medium bodied and enjoyable. I would say to expect a flavor closer to golden ales than to tripels, but it is good.
