Bottle. Dark brown with a medium sized, lush, creamy head that was long lasting. Lots of lace. Aroma had hints of coffee and dried fruit. Taste was coffee with hints of fruit cake, and slow roasted grains. Sweet upfront and a nice smooth finish. Great winter warmer.

4pack from the lcbo. Jet black pour, big mocha head. Aroma is incredibly roasty, but also has a lovely round fruitiness. Hints of soy and milk chocolate, and subtle hazelnut. Oily mouth feel, nice carb. Finish is medium bitter, loads more roast, some smoke, and fruity. Really nice stuff.

Malty, roasted taste with notes of sweet black coffee, dark chocolate, black rye bread, liquorice, prunes, soy sauce, hints of vanilla and a generous roasty bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel. Quite sweet. Tasty, solid and well made Baltic porter. Very nice.
