Donkergeel licht troebel bier met stevig schuim. Smaak is fris fruitig, licht zoet en krachtig met iets van ananas, vanille en abrikoos. Geslaagd bier wat mij betreft.

At Het Haasken in Diest. Thickly lacing, firm, creamy, snow white head over a hazy golden beer with greenish hue. Aroma of raw rhubarb, dry saffron, grass, shallot, green apple, watermelon, gin, sorrel. Fruity taste of apple, starfruit and passion fruit, sweetish and sourish in good balance, soft carbo, somewhat grainy pale malt sweetishness in the middle, bit yeasty ending with grassy and lightly spicy hop bitterishness, drying but still malty finish. Not too impressive in terms of style, but well-crafted, technically correct and balanced, so an enjoyable beer for sure.

A golden beer, a head is big, dense and blond. Aroma has flowers, fruitness, spices, some perfume and honey. Aromatic. Taste has fruits with honey, some oranges and spicyness of black peppers. Medium bodied, strong carbonation that is balanced. Sophisticated and aromatic. I like this beer.

Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized slightly off-white head. Aroma is bready and toffeeish malts, some mild spices and yeast along with quite a floral, grassy and herbal take on it. Flavour is quite similar, but quite bread and yeast dominated with a quite big bitterness to it.

On tap @ BierCab. This is a big off-white headed one with a deep golden cloudy body. At first the aroma is kinda soft due to the massive head, but after a while I get tones of sweet candy, apples, biscuity malts and a little bit of alcohol. Quite nice, and it tastes really nice. It has this lovely smooth mouth feel and it's soft and prickling on the carbonation bubbles. A little candy sweet, lots of sweet red plums, grapes and it's definitely not to bitter. There's also a little apple acidity or sourness if you'd like and traces of banana almond crepe. A kinda mellow, yet really flavorful and smooth one that I quite enjoyed. 11.08.2014
