Torpah is a range of 3 single hop beers, each made from a unique and singly type of hop, hence the name. That’s why it’s a single hop.
The 3 hop varieties selected come from 3 different continents and bring a large variety of flavors directly linked to the characteristics of the land of those countries:
United States (Chinook)
New-Zealand (Wai-ti)
France (Aramis).
The declinations of Torpah, 30 – 60 – 90, refer directly to the IBU (bitterness index) present in each of those beers. This induces you to taste them all to see the progressive intensity of the bitterness and the work that has been achieved around each hop.

Hazy dark blond with thick creamy head. Has a bit more body than the 30 and 60. Has an earthy hop taste.

Very good & dense off-white head over hazy ochre-yellow beer. Creamy nose, pale malts, (dry) herbs. Bitter, spicy, bit peppery. Garden herbs & weeds, wild-tasting hops. Medium bodied, quite slick, long dry bittereffect in the throat. Not very distinctive.

Bottle at oud arsenaal. Pours hazy pale orange, nose is toffee, light pine, taste is quite dry and bitter, not much else going on.

Bottled@Oud Beersel, Amsterdam. Hazy murky orange colour with a mediumsized head. Aroma is fruity, floral, herbal and mild elderflowery notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, mildly yeasty along with some berries in the finish.

33 cl bottle @ Oud Arsenaal, Antwerp
Aroma is rather mild with some sweet apricot and fruit candy. Also perfume. A foamy and a bit fizzy palate. Flavour has biscuits, some ripeish fruits and some mild mint notes. Becomes malty at the middle of the glass.

at ZBF15. Thnx for sharing, people ! Pours rather clear blonde. Smell is bitter and yeasty. Taste is very sharp and intense. Earthy bitterness. OK but lacks a good body and backbone to stand for the hops

Sampled @ ZBF 15. Clear golden orange, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, slightly grassy and slightly citrusy. Again, like the 30 and the 60 this one also has a light herbal hoppyness and herbal bitter in the finish. Decent body and carbonation. Not a lot of difference between those versions imo..

The Chinook version in this single hop series, with medium, off-white head and misty golden blonde colour, looking the same as the two other ones. Pleasant aroma of citrus peel, pineapple, bitter honey and pine needles, which reflect the Chinook hops; fruity taste, crisp and supple, soft honeyish malt sweetness, long citrussy hop bitterness, resinous, ’piney’ and dry. The most characterful of the three Torpahs but this is only due to the Chinook, of course; equal in quality to the 60 in my personal view.
